River front camping and campsites

Looking for a great camping spot close to Riemvasmaak and Augrabies Falls? We are situated a mere 14Km upstream from the Augrabies Falls on the Northern Bank. Our gorgeous Riverside camp and campsites hug the beautiful Orange River as she laps the shores. Accessing our camp means you must travel 25km from Kakamas, of which 17km is gravel, this is a very good and well-maintained road. Let’s face it all great places are not just around the corner, one needs to do a bit of bundu bashing to relish in the results.

Off-road trailers, Explorer Caravans, Campervans and Sedan vehicles travel quite comfortably to and from, adding to the adventure of being in the beautiful Green Kalahari’s Arid landscape.

Campsite and stands

Our campsites are spacious with lush grass and large indigenous Camelthorn trees, access to power points and normal and blue plug power points (Not all the stands have power points, but if you bring a long lead with it will reach a power point). We don’t book stands we work on a first come basis most guests like to find a nice spot that they are happy with.

Our private stands have luxury bathrooms, own plugs, powerpoints, a braai and patio. Each stand can accommodate 1 vehicle with a trailer or Caravan or a family of 6. (4 adults and 2 kids) We sell wood and ice, fire lighters and matches. There is a pool, deck and bar as well as a restaurant for guests to enjoy.

Camping ablutions

Our new style ablution facility is modern, stylish and boast private amenities, Guests are issued with their own key so you don’t have to carry your toiletries with you every time.

We have 12 bathrooms with all the luxury fittings of one’s home. So during peak holiday seasons when the campsite is busy both ablution facilities old and new will be opened up for shared use, low and quiet season guest will have their own bathroom. (phase 2) we will introduce a second ablution facility, ultimately resulting in 12 bathrooms for 12 campsites. We have created 3 extra stands as our overflow stands that are grassed and shaded, have power and guests using these will need to be self sufficient with caravans that have their own toilets during peak seasons.
